BOARD MEMBER PROFILE
Tim
Ackley, President

Tim has
served on the Wellston Recreation Board for over 20 years, and
has been a coach with city recreation for over 23 years. Tim
is a Wellston police officer, serving as the city's School Resource
Officer, and he supervises the DARE program at Wellston Middle
School. Each year, Tim takes a bus load of children of all ages
to Cincinnati to watch the Reds play baseball. Tim is a Wellston
resident and has five children.
Greg
Wilkett, Vice President

Greg has
served on the Wellston Recreation Board for eleven years, and
has over 13 years of volunteer coaching experience with our
department. Greg was very instrumental in building the current
General Mills recreational complex on North Minnesota Avenue.
Greg owns the Wellston-based business Wilkett Enterprises, LLC,
a commercial construction and excavation company. Greg resides
in Wellston with his wife and two children.
Rick
Callebs, Public Information Officer/Webmaster

Rick was
appointed by the Wellston School Board to replace longtime member
Adam Massie. Rick was a former Recreation Board member in 2005
and has extensive experience in aquatics and swimming pool management.
Rick was the Aquatics Director for the City of Jackson's Hillcrest
Pool for 13 years and is a former lifeguard instructor and is
a licensed Aquatics Facility Operator. Rick is a fulltime paramedic
and Station Chief with Southeast Ohio EMS District in Athens,
and operates a home based website design business here in Wellston.

Gill, Equipment Manager

Terry
Gill is an elected member of the Wellston City School Board,
and acts as the school board's primary Recreation Board representative.
Terry is a former Recreation Board member who has a diverse
coaching and recreation background.

Cox, City Council Representative (ex-officio
member)

Tony
Cox is an elected (at-large) member of the Wellston City Council
and serves as the liason to the Recreation Board. Tony provides
guidance and input from council, and is very active in pursuing
grants and additional funding for Recreation Department projects.
